
The DMI syllabus consists of six semesters with 29 core subjects and 2 elective subjects, 31 subjects in total. Throughout the whole programmes students are to achieve a total of 105 credit points to graduate. DHS is awarded upon completing the three years programmes of the full time structured schedule.All areas provide a strong foundation for progression into research degrees and careers.

SUMMARY OF THE SUBJECTS
Principles of the Public Health, Ethics & Law
Students are introduced to factors associated with the psychological, social, economic, cultural and political that contributes to the current healthcare issues. Organized selection of scientific and literature of health sciences, government policies and reports, scholarly articles, and court cases on public health law, ethics, and human rights will be conveyed in this course. A wide range of ethics related courses are offered such as Public Health, Law & Ethics, Intellectual Preparation & Moral Leadership for the students to better understand the working environment and the ethical issues that they’ll be facing. Also, they are taught about patient care to help with the understanding on how to attend to a patient’s needs during their working years ahead.
Human Studies
Students are exposed to studying of the human anatomy to have a basic knowledge of basic scientific facts and principles underlying normal body structure and function. They will then be able to describe why the study of anatomy and physiology is important to the health sciences related industry.
Clinical Assessments & Practices
Clinical assessments are meant to boost up student-patient contact and to see how good students are with patient interaction. Students will be trained on how to select the right equipment to ensure the quality of images being obtained. The clinical assessments and practices are to help the students fully understand, interpret and evaluate images that are obtained through Radiography. They will also learn how to improve on their image obtaining skills and interpretation skills.
Medical Imaging
Principles Radiographic, Radiation Biology and protection, Radiographic Pathology are some of the radiographic subjects that the students will be exposed to during their studies here. They will also be exposed to the ultrasound modality with courses such as Ultrasound of the abdomen and physics of ultrasound. Students will have discussion on diseases and pathologies that occurs in the body and how does the images appear on medical modalities. They will be well prepared on the different medical imaging modalities used at the end of the programme.
Scientific Health Writing Techniques
Conveying the ever changing and expanding world of science through books, journals, researches and media is essential. Therefore generating good writing skills in a student is vital. Students will develop writing skills to academic audiences by analyzing, interpreting, researching, synthesizing and evaluating a wide variety of sources throughout these courses. College Writing and Medical Writing syllabus will definitely build up creative and informative writing skills for science, medicine and health related fields in students.
